Default My Singer 66 has a home!

Found the cabinet with another 66 in it but that machine was in really bad shape and I sadly don't have enough room for more. I found a new loving home for that head and replaced it with the one I first purchased.

Cool. I like that cabinet.

I have two 66s that need homes. One an electric and one a treadle.

It was hard to find a home. I wanted a bent wood case and found one on craigslist. The guy was selling a treadle and the case and had no idea what was in it because he didn't have the key. I thought i would put the 66 in the treadle but once my hubby brought them home it was a model 27 and I don't want to separate them. The bent wood had a 99 so its too small. Finally found this baby at the swap meet. Just needed a new hinge that came today!

The cabinet is beautiful. What a nice match! I just got a 66 and the cabinet needs to be replaced. How do you know which cabinet will fit your machine?

I'm new to the vintage machines but I happened to find one that had a 66 in it. Before that I measured the base of my machine and the distance between the pins for the hinge and was looking for one that had the same measurements.

I have a gorgeous 66-1 Lotus treadle that I wouldn't let go of for anything...
