I have the Necchi SuperNova and my 90 year old machine guy taught me the correct Necchi pronunciation. This should put that part of the problem to rest. He says "Rhymes with Becky!"

Ciao a tutti! I am new at this but already I love it. Anyway I have an opportunity to buy a Necchi Lydia MK2 here in Italy, I was wondering if any of you can tell me if this model has the same problems with cracking cams as does the Lydia 3? My other option is to drive 5 hours to Milan and get a Supernova Julia 534. Your thoughts? Grazie!

Yes, both Lydia models have a plastic camstack and are usually cracked. You should look closely before you buy it, replacement camstacks are hard to find and very expensive.
