Need to Replace the Takeup Thread Spring on my Singer 15-90

I purchased a new thread takeup spring for my vintage singer 15-90. Now I need instructions on how to replace the broken one. I can't find any instructions to do this specific step on the internet.

    Can someone help me out?

Yes you can, look here: http://www.tfsr.org/publications/tec...machine_manual

Go to the Tension Mechanism Section. What you need is in there.

Joe is right - find someone to sit with you and read the instructions in that wonderful manual together - you can do it if you can follow a pattern and make something.

Thanks Joe, that is exactly what I was looking for and I got the new spring installed perfectly.
