The link I made still opens fine here. You could try "down load" in stead of "open directy", I'm not sure what you are doing. It's often easier for the computer to handle stored documents. I found the down load links on this page, and you need some kind of pdf client to open it.

Well, got the featherweight almost there but the needle is still rubbing on something when it goes down. I just hate it when I can't fix something. I have worked for 2 days on this, even have a black featherweight that I compared the bobbin case unit too. All looked o.k. but still something wrong with the needle rubbing. Could the needle height be the problem? How do I adjust that? Thanks you all for any help. Guess I will end up taking it in for service.

Well, took her in to the sewing machine repairman. I hated to leave her but hoping it's not much to repair. I will post a picture when I get her back....... until next time.

Yes, I there are settings for the needle bar. I'm not that familiar with the Featherweight, but there is a great blog called the Archaic and the Arcane, and a bit down this page she talks about timing lines for the Featherweight in particular; I'm not sure where the adjustment screw is. She has a few posts on the Featerweight. She likes and uses her Featerweight, and she is an expert with s'ewing m'achines in general.

Wow, good site. Thanks so very much for trying to help me. I appreciate it. Guess you probably read where I just took it to a repair shop. Hoping there is not much wrong.

It's probably minor, at least for a experienced repair guy. All the timing info is in the service manual too, but I found it very helpful to read Tammy's blog when sorting out my 201. She sort of talks (or writes) your way through it in very good way.
