That is the cutest machine I've ever laid eyes on. I didn't want one until I saw that!

I think you made a good deal. I'm still looking for a white FW. When/if I ever find one I'll name her Betty White as suggested by someone on this board. (An old girl who keeps on going.)

quiltsRfun - I hope you find one. I like your name for the machine when you get one and you will - don't give up and thank you.

I have 2, both are black. I purchased the first one several years ago on E-bay for $225.00, runs great, didn't have lots of attachments, but is a 1935. I have pieced many quilt tops- all sizes and made a few baby quilts totally on it. I have just finished piecing my quilting group challenge quilt top for our Fall Fair, 72x96 without border or binding, will cut border today. I now only take my FW to quilt group. love mine. I haven't really sewn on my 1937, as I need to get the wiring redone, and just haven't taken the time to do that, I found it on our local radio hot line for $100.00. DH has one NO he doesn't sew a stitch but bought it years ago from a co-worker for a whopping price of $10.00 yes ten dollars wit all attachments including a buttonholer. I took it out of the closet to use it one day an when he saw me using it, gave me a "What are you doing with my machine." ticked me off, so I went to E-bay and bought my own. His still sits in the closet. lol You will love it. DD doesn't sew either, so have n idea who will get all of my machines (6) when I'm gone.
I don't name my machines- no particular reason, just don't do it.

Wonderful. Mom had a white one and she asked if I wanted it. I was not into collecting back then and said n o and she gave it to her cleaning lady. If I ever get one I want a white one, hopefully made in 1964, year I graduated.
Happy for you and enjoy.
