It's a vibrating shuttle machine. I have one from 1924. Beautiful stitch! Some of the spindle bobbins available are the wrong length. You'll know if you have the right ones as soon as you go to wind one.

are the bobbins hard to load? do they hold much? need to get a manual printed off! does yours have knee control or foot control?

felt sort of bad (but just for a nano second) as ran into one of my quilting friends there. she had gotten there before me and when i walked up the driveway i say it sitting there and snatched it up. when she saw me she was so jealous b/c she did not see it first! I don't think the lady selling it was too into sewing machines and didn't know much about them - otherwise I don't think she would have sold it so cheap!

I have the same machine. Same case. Same knee control. Same "bullet" bobbin. I believe it is a 128 from what I have read. The site you posted is very helpful. It may be the same "machine" with the 127 being for a treadle stand and the 128 being the portable. Thanks for the information

WHAT a deal!!!!! Yes, I think it may be the 128, also. I have one almost like it that I got on eBay but the cover and box it sits in were both demolished during the trip :-( .

Is that a shoelace holding the key? I've bought two machines that have their keys attached with shoelaces....funny!
