By looking up the serial number it appears to have been manufactured sometime around 1888.

Wow! You have got an oldie, but a goodie. Thanks for the reply.
Isn't it great the way that Singer marked their machines so that you can find out easily when they were made?

Love, Love, love the pretty flowers on your machine. Even if it didn't work I'd have to put it out on display somewhere!!

Dave, you may have good luck finding the items you need by posting your request on the yahoo groups treadleon site. Also the list owner, Cindy Peters will be able to help you with the spring, she is our 'go-to' supply person, prices are good and service is excellent. If you can't find an original wooden pitman rod, there are instructions on how to make your own on the treadleon.net site. You have an AMAZING treasure in this machine! I have one but the decals are sadly worn. I'd jump at a chance to get one in such beautiful shape as your machine! Good luck! Carol in Mid-Mich

I did purchase a pitman arm and a spring that I think will work from ebay. The bobbin winder tension wheel is going to be the tough piece to find. I'll try the treadleon yahoo group! Thanks
