Ummmm, perhaps you should gently install it in the cabinet. "Dropping it in there" might be disastrous.

Wow, Sue! Beautiful cabinet. Nice machine, also - I have never seen a pop up plate for the bobbin.

That flip up plate is GENIUS!! If all machines were made that there wouldn't be so many missing!!!

It obviously pays to be patient. That is one gorgeous cabinet & stool. Your idea of covering the seat with fabric will surely brighten it up. The cabinet looks like it is in pristine condition. Lucky you.
