Hello,

I has just recently inherited my great grandmother's pfaff130. It is in perfect working condition, all original parts and accessories, the manual, warranty card, and the sales receipt are all with it. Aside from sentimental reason, I had no idea what a great machine this was until researching it today. My great grandmother taught me some sewing, but that was 15 years ago. So I am an extreme beginner. I was very good at threading the needle for her though The manual can show me how to thread it, and the basics. It gives description of some of the accessories. I would love to know what all the parts are how they work. Is there a good site for this or some one here that could assist? I will post pictures of the things. Thank you.

This is a great site. They know all the guts of the insides of most sewing machines even down to the tiniest screws. Most vintage sewing machines run the same way. So post away and chances are it'll get answered. In another thread someone was asking about a Pfaff 103 In fact i think she was looking for a manual too. We love photos too to ooh and ahh over.

my husband has a 130 with the "coffee grinder" on the back - it's the embroidery pack that allows the machine do to decorative stitches. He calls his Brunhilde because she's a brute of a girl compared to the rest.

Last fall I got my husband's grandmother's Pfaff 130. It sat unused for at least 40 years in a bedroom, not a garage, so it's in good shape. But I haven't yet cleaned it up or tried it out. I hope to get to it soon. I'll be looking for other's experience with this machine.
