Default Picked up at the side of the road...

My brother-in-law found this Kenmore by the side of the road, and asked me if I wanted it. I've never collected machines before, but this looked in good shape and is in a cabinet that is also in good shape. I haven't had time to look at serial numbers or test it or clean it up. Can anyone tell me anything about it?

Can you tell us the serial number on it? If you tip the machine back, it should be on a plate underneath... would look something like XXX.XXXX

Nice looking machine and cab!

Great score!! There is a Yahoo group called Vintage Kenmores to which I belong. You can find all sorts of info on there.

I never see anything that nice at the side of the road. Usually just torn up dirty couches. Sorry not much help. I would guess and mid 60's vintage. Looks like it may be able to do some decorative stitches. Look under the latch on the top, it could possibly take cams to make fun stitiches.
