My 301 just sits in the desk I had made for it in 1956. No brackets in sight.

The neat thing about a functioning cradle and mount is that one can stow the machine if one wants too.

I just took a look at my 301 short bed table, it has no leather snuggies, just 2 metal supports (with foot indents) that the machine rests on.

I asked this question in June, Borletti Milano (Brian) had pics and part numbers! The part number for the 301 complete cradle is 170112, the part number for the front brackets is 136413. I thought I had saved the photos, but was unable to find them. I gave up a while ago watching the ebauction site. Lots of cradles, no brackets.

This thread has a pic of the brackets! http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...a-t201756.html

Today I got lucky! eBay had a cradle with the brackets, hinge pins and screws--EVERYTHING-- for a reasonable price and free shipping. I snapped it up. Later, Hubby and I found a $10 Singer cabinet at Goodwill; it seems to be made of veneered plywood or something rather than the nicer furniture Singer made, but I think it can be modified to accept the cradle and will look nice when the finish is redone. Maybe I'll just paint it. The hinge pins on the cabinet are not the round ones. I hope that will not cause a problem.
I am very slow, but will show you how it turns out. Someday.

Yeah, I kicked myself later when I realized I could have done that, but it was stretching the budget, and I was feeling guilty. The mocha sat in a nice cabinet, too. I looked to see if it was still on CL, but it was gone so I assume it was sold.

Patricia you should be able to install the cradle on the hinges that are already in the cabinet.

There are several for sale on Ebay. The pictures aren't great though, but maybe you know how to look better than I do.

I got lucky and found a cradle with the brackets and mounting hardware on ebay. Found a cheap cabinet at Goodwill.
Think it will all work out. I'm considering painting the cabinet a glossy black with gold pinstripes...to go with the machine.
