Eventually they will go down on price or end up donating that machine or keeping it for a very long time.
I don't like to talk about how much a machine is worth - that one IS out of line for the very reasons Steve said. The only thing worse would be one that was refurbished and put a small hand wheel and moved the bobbin winder to the top. I have one and I hate it.

DD just bought one, a treadle. She didn't give over $75 and probably less. DGD just wanted to save it from the scrappers. I think we can get it sewing and it is in good shape. Very pretty, but I don't really like long shuttle type machines.
