Model 15 Treadle
I have been talking to a lady that has a treadle machine for sale. She says it has the model #H362638, when I look it up the number shows it is a Model 15 made in 1906, do any of you have this machine? I wanted to see a picture of it before we drove several miles to look. I am confused because I thought all machines made that early had the long suttle, the picture I found shows the class 15 bobbin on the side like the 15-91 electric. Any thoughts on this?

The Model 15s were introduced prior to 1900 and were manufactured at the same time as the long bobbin machines up to WW II, or there abouts.
It will look pretty much like any common Mdl 15 but will probably not have the reverse / back tack feature found on the later ones.

Yes, after about 1895 if I read correctly they used the common Class 15 bobbins.
Go to ISMACS: { http://www.ismacs.net/singer_sewing_...ist/index.html }
Click on the "Classes from 1 to 99" section and scroll down to the 15s. There is much information and some pictures as well.

I think I will go take a look, I had never heard of a class 15 treadle. It has a nice looking cabinet( she didn't send a pic of machine) she wants $60. The top of the cabinet has some water damage to the veneer, which is common. I think we could fix that.

In my collection I have a 15-90 with the belted motor and a 201-2 both with reverse and both manufactured in 1935. I don't know if the reverse feature was introduced at the same time for all Singer models.
