Beautyfold Sew-Table?

There's one on eBay right now, and I've never heard of them before. Were these meant for a specific machine, or are they a generic after-market thing for whatever fit? It's kind of a cool table!

I don't know what the age of the table is, but I prefer a card table for my 301 as it has much more room to support quilting and free motion work.

I think it's for a featherweight.

Agreed; I like my FW card table for the same reason. I'd just never seen one like this before and wondered about it.

I bought one just like that at a gargae sale for 17.50 and my 301 fits in it perfectlly I take it to retreats and classes, the reg. tables are too high for me to use.

Long bed 301 or short bed? *eyeing my 301*

short bed, the opening is 16 3/4 long had to have a insert to set it on just about 3/4" thick I have a brother that fits in in perfectly with out the board.

I have one of these, love it because it is solid. Not sure what specific type of machine goes in it, husband made me different adaptor boards to set down in it and I have used it for my 301A. A couple Kenmore. Don't recall if used the featherweights in it or not. Use the different adaptor boards husband made it when switching machines. Couple are U shaped to fit around machine, some to raise machine up off the metal tray underneath. Never knew this had a name, thought it was some home made table. Learn something new everyday off this board. Thanks.

I have sewn on one of these since I was a junior in high school and I am now almost 61! It was a Christmas gift from my parents (mom probably wanted my sewing stuff off her kitchen table!). It is still sturdy to this day. Right now, I have my vintage 201 hand crank in it, which is a very heavy machine. Would love to have another one of these tables!

I have one just like that. I bought it in the early 70s for my Kenmore machine. I have used it for just about every machine I have ever owned...which are many. It's fine at low speed, but when i sew fast the machine kind of bounces around. I'm pretty sure I paid $69 for it. I am not using it any more.

A much sturdier table is the Gidget sold at Joann and many Internet sewing machine sites. I paid $124 delivered and it is very sturdy. The machine can be recessed into the table, or the platform can be raised if one wants to sew with the free arm.

I put some carpet padding under my machines, sometimes a couple pieces, keeps them from walking around and bouncing. Helps keep this table from bouncing absorbs the shock. Keep a few pieces, of that rubber stuff comes in handy close to machines to grab for any number of things. Foot pedal scooting across floor, carpet padding under it, or even those waffle weave placemats work.

No, it's not for a Featherweight. They only made 2 for featherweight machines, one is a card table, the other is a cabinet. I have one of each.

The link took me to a whole list of singer 301 tables on eBay. None of them seemed to be called Beautyfold. The ones I saw were either FW or 301 tables.

Thanks. I didn't look at that. Lesson learned.
