Bernette 335S Serger-Manual and Power Cord

3 Attachment(s)
I am not sure this would classify as a vintage serger but it is very hard to find any info on it. I am pretty sure I bought this new in the 90s.

Bernette made 335D and 335DS which are each two tone cream/brownish. My Bernette is all creamish.

Recently I have relocated my Bernette 335S Serger nicely stored in its carrier case W/O its power cord & pedal. Ugh! I believe it was manufactured in in the 90s but cannot find any info on that specific model.

Here are some photos of it.

PS: sorry for the dark photo

Couple of places to download the manual:
https://www.google.com/search?q=Bern...utf-8&oe=utf-8
I have a Bernina 1530 from the 90s and it is still running smoothly as the day I bought it.

The Bernettes, whether serger, embroidery or sewing machine, are not built by Bernina, they're badged machines. There are only 3 factories that build sergers, no matter what name is on them.

The cord and controller can probably be found online at any place that carries new parts. Look for your plug style, not necessarily for a Bernina one that will probably cost you more money for the same thing.

Thank you. I looked through most of those today. What seems weird to me though is that nothing specific showed up on the 335S, as though it was never made. My thinking was that they are probably all pretty basically the same.

Thank you Cari. I did find a similar cord for $79. I might see if I can find one for less.

The picture of the plug in/switch area looks just like my serger, JUKI, model MO-634DEV from the late 80's early 90's which runs perfectly, the once or twice a week I need it..............actually the front looks identical also. ok, so pulled it's binder off the shelf opened the parts list .... controller for U.S.A. is A6401-634-DAOA and warranty card copy says date of purchase was 05-07-1994.

Thank you for trying to help anyway. :)

If you could find somewhere to order a new one, I'd be interested. We haven't been able to find them for sale anywhere. I did find a 335D at a thrift store, and parted it out. You might try Ebay.

Annette I didn't realize such a common part couldn't be found. If I gave her wrong info I'm sorry. I just figured the cord/controller set for a serger shouldn't be hard to find since so many of them take the same parts.
