Climax treadle sewing machine

Has anyone ever heard of a climax treadle machine? There is one listed on my local cl in a cabinet for $25..the cabinet looks to be in very good shape for its age. I would love a cabinet and to me this seems like a real bargain.

New Home introduced its Climax line in 1893. For $25, I'd pick it up. If the machine is not usable the cabinet, in good shape, is certainly worth the $25.

Yes, the cabinet alone is worth it.

Hot diggity dang!! This post just made me a very happy gal! Tomorrow I'm picking up a Climax and its treadle for $35. I simply love the way New Home's have their treadle throw timed.

Mine is an 1881 Climax. ISMACS is a good reference.
