Double rescue needed in west Peoria, IL

Wife found this in CL:
http://peoria.craigslist.org/atq/3343020479.html

Two old sewing machines, one a White treadle, the other is unknown. Probably a Singer. Check out the pics ..... ugh.

I'd go for them but ... no money, no room.

Any QB members near Peoria, IL????

Joe

Wish I was close enough!

Hahaha guess well have to guess the condition of the machines. Great price though. Good luck to whoever is close by

wish there were pictures of the machines!!

That was exactly the same thought we had when we looked at the add. Wonder if we emailed the poster if they would even be able to get to the machines to take some pics?

Yeah, me too. If I could buy them I would insist on that vintage cage on top of the cabinet being part of the deal. That is a vintage collectible also.

By the looks of that mess, I'll bet the seller would be glad to get rid of a bunch of it. I looked at the cage too, but it's too small for any critter we have around here so I'll pass.

Some people use those cages as decorations. It looks like a pigeon or chicken cage.

I'm not one to use things for decorations or modern art. I'd probably try to stick one our cats in it. (we need a demon smiley here)

I bet if you put a little cat quilt in it and a quilt over it at least one cat would claim it for their own cat cave.

You could be right.

I'm an hour away from Peoria but I don't have room for very many more machines. I'm trying not to go crazy with this collecting and have decided to stick with Singers. I really need to finish getting what I already have up and running before I add any more to the herd.

Lyncat 10-26-2012 07:56 PM

Haha I'm enjoying this thread. And I do like that little cage!

Lara122 10-27-2012 04:28 AM

ok, Teacup. You have got to take the hit for all of us, and daytrip to Peoria!! ;0) We have got to know! Go ahead and get that cage too -- amazing!

Who wants to stay in their budget, and work within the space in their home? NOT US! so, go gas your car, and keep us posted! ;0)

Ditto, ditto. I am picking up a Singer 15K in a cabinet on Monday. It's not my fault, blame my OJCG! Yeah, I KNOW I do not have room for another cabinet, YIKES. But where there is a a will there is a way. LOL
