FeatherLIGHT (NOT singer) machine?

I was at a junk sale today and they had a little blue featherlight machine. Definitely not a singer, but I assume it was meant as a copycat. It looks more likea small elna grasshopper than anything. I googled and can only find featherweight info from people who mistakenly call it a featherlight. Anyone have any info on these machines? Thanks!

Yes, I've seen these before. They're very cute and I remember doing some research on them after seeing one listed for sale. I couldn't find much either. But, I think they come in several colors and if it was a decent price I would have bought it:>

You'll find more info. if you google Featherlite sewing machine.

There is one without a nose on GW right now:

There are 8 bids on it so there must be something desirable about it.

I saw that one also. But decided that I was not going to bid on it because it was missing the nose/face plate. The missing part may be hard to find. I wonder if those bidders realize that it is missing that part? I had to look at all of the pictures before I realized it was not complete.

I stick far away from GW. At least with ebay, if the item doesn't work or is different than described, you can get a refund.

There's currently a fake FW going for a lot of money on GW that someone is going to be very upset with. Yes, it's the buyers ignorance for not knowing a fake from the original, but on ebay that would not fly and you'd get your money back.

Candace, the "fake" featherweight was listed as an Alphasew machine, so they aren't trying to pass it off as a Featherweight. It's buyer beware, and whoever bids on this should be reading the whole posting beforehand.

It's not specifically listed as a reproduction and would be pulled from ebay or the buyer would get their money back. If you do don't fully disclose it's a reproduction, that's a sticky situation. I agree the buyer should know better.

I can't find anything on Google about the Featherlite Sewing Machine. I was looking at that one on Goodwill site, and am concerned about the missing nose. Does anyone know who the maker of these was?

I checked out this machine. If a buyer thinks they are getting a FeatherWEIGHT, they haven't done their research. This machine looks nothing like the FW and is a pretty blue/turq. It looks very close to a child's machine but more sturdy. It's very very cute and desc. states that it looks barely used.

No, this isn't the machine we're talking about. It was a FW replica that was up for auction. I sort of derailed this thread mentioning it. LOL.
