Featherweight Tote Bag

4 Attachment(s)
As a new owner of a Great Britain Centennial Featherweight, I cleaned and refurbished the case that came with my machine, but I still wanted a soft sided bag for her that would not be as heavy as the original case. I also want to avoid breaking the receptacle against the case as I am putting her in the the hard original case.

I wanted to share with the featherweight lovers on this board, the nice tote bag that I received today from Amazon.
The bag comes with a removable center divider which I removed. It has a front pocket which the foot controller fits in. It has a plastic zippered bag attached to the inside of the back flap/side, which is where I will probably store my bobbins, etc.

Nice tote!! I don't use my original case, either. I have my FW in an old wheeled file box, and that works really well for me.

nice looking tote, great for carrying it to classes/retreats/sew-ins, etc.

nice case. look at the area where the extension flips up on the left end. do you see that screw that is facing out of
the face plate ? put a soft, sticky circle on there so that your extension does not get an awful paint chip where it hits
the screw when you have it folded up. many a nice paint job ruined this way. you might even add some bubble wrap
to prevent any shifting.

If you are wanting a rolling tote for your FW, go to Michaels and look at the yarn totes. They are just the right size for the machine and have lots of pockets to carry patterns, and all of your things you need with your machine. In the front zip down pocket, there are elastic holders for scissors, and other little clear bags that velcro on and can hold thread, etc. Check them out. By the way, Michaels accepts Joann and Hancock coupons!
