Free Westinghouse sewing machine noise.

I have a Free Westinghouse, year unknown, but pretty old. It sews great and I am using this machine while being a Snow Bird. The only problem with it is that there is a sound coming out of the wheel. I thought at first it was because the bobbin thing had gotten stuck against it, but that's not it. My DH oiled the machine really good and we thought because it had not been used for some time, that the noise would stop. Alas, it has not. Any suggestions out there ?

Could it have a flat spot on the drive wheel that comes off the motor?
