Gimbels Model 4000 found today. She is a beauty!
I walked into one of five local Thrift shops today. They were waiting for me, knew I would be in soon. I go regularly about twice a week, for exercise mainly and to pick up fabric, etc. There she was, Turq. and Cream, clean as a pin . However, they couldn't get her to work. Shes in a nice little cabinet with knee pedal. Loved her and took her as-is, no guarantee of course. Price,... a whopping $25.00! Didn't take but about 30 minutes to figure it out. She sews a very nice stitch and zigZag. Am so very thrilled to have her in my "Stable". Name, Ginny. The cabinet is plain, no dings or scratches. I don't think shes been used very much. Lovely! Made in Japan, Serial # 22739.
Having problems uploading photo. Will resize and upload later. |
Can't wait to see a photo! Turq is one of my favorite colors.

This quilt isn't finished yet. I love Flying geese, and use them most in my quilts. I just take 4-5-or 6" squares, cut them diag, sew them together... so easy, I don't have to mess with that extra 1/4" difference. Also, I don't really mind if they arent exactly on point, because I am older now and quilts are for family members who love me...I am lucky enough to be loved!

Very pretty machine! Good catch!

Great score! I just love the vintage colors. I am looking for a pink one now, but the ones I've found are either too expensive or in horrendous shape. Love your new baby!

I've been looking for one of those too, very hard to find. I saw one on Ebay a couple of days ago.
