I just found out that a machine I had stored is a Singer Redeye. Does that mean anything? Serial number is C8016815.

Cool! Pretty machine~ isn't that pattern only on Singer Model 66?

you can go to the singer web site and put in the serial/model number- it will tell you the (birthdate) of the machine and where it was made- also if you need a manual for it it will also either give you an option to purchase one or down load one.

According to the Singer site, the records for the C serial numbers have been lost. These machines were manufactured in Wittenberge, (Prussia) Germany starting in 1908.

Thank you very much. You are the only one to answer my question so now I know more about my machine. Wish there were records, but I'm satisfied to know that information.

Should be a singer model 66 and we can only estimate the date.

Red eye is a nickname given to a particular decal pattern that singer used. It is also often called a redhead too.

Congratulations.
