So, looks like I've just purchased my first clone! .... for 99c.

I have to get it sent from interstate but I think the unique decals make it worthwhile. Turns out the seller said he brought it with him from Greece! He had a gypsy friend there who found it somewhere and gave it to him. Not entirely sure why it's missing so many parts. I presume it was like that since he got it... and I'm hoping that they will be easy to replace.

Anyway, it's fun to look at! I make wedding dresses so it's a particularly fun machine for me to own and display :)

LOL!! Wow! Miriam says WOW - it must be good! ;) ... Thanks Miriam :) I'll do my best with her. How could I not when she's "Smart, Strong & Smooth"? (only just noticed it said that :D)

I have to thank Mike for making me buy it at the last second. Sometimes it's good to have an enabler ;)

Both our partners would disagree with every part of that :D
I did try unsuccessfully to try and get you to buy that VS2 last weekend so you owed me a purchase ;)

You were too subtle!

Mostest in awesomeness Amelia. That one is well worth fixing.

Mariposa 11-04-2013 07:21 AM

Wow! Neat looking machine! Hope you can get it up and going!

mighty 11-04-2013 07:23 AM

Very cool machine!!!

Cecilia S. 11-04-2013 07:28 AM

I am speechless. That is just the most amazing machine -ever-, and so perfectly suited to your profession.

It looks just like my avatar, except painted up differently, of course. I am quite sure you will have no problem finding a parts machine for $10 - $20 and making the Bride all complete again.

Seriously, wow. Where do you find this stuff?!? You and Mike have fabulous Sewing Machine Karma.

-C.

p.s. I am sure you are thoughtful enough to think of this, but -do- make sure he packs it well to protect the decals! I have noticed that people like to stuff parts and foot pedals on the flat bed, unprotected, which of course wrecks the decs.

This is such an adorable machine. I've not seen another like it.

SteveH 11-04-2013 08:04 AM

Great find! The parts should be a snap to locate, even there in the underplanet....

pocoellie 11-04-2013 09:07 AM

Very pretty machine. I hope that you're able to get the missing parts and use her.

Sunflowerzz 11-04-2013 09:10 AM

That is spectacular! Fantabulous! and really cool! :sew:

It's wonderful! Amazing how many different brand names and intricate decals where out in "way back when." You've found a winner.

jbj137 11-05-2013 09:27 AM

***W*OW*** that is a super neat machine.

Jennifer23 11-05-2013 09:39 AM

What a great machine, and a great price! Congratulations!

frudemoo 11-06-2013 02:29 AM

Wow - what a response! Thank you SO much everyone for your lovely words. I am looking forward to receiving the machine, these are just the pics from the auction. After a great conversation with the seller I am hoping he will pack it very carefully :) ... Will definitely keep y'all up to date. So far no donor machines. Of course, there WOULD be a shortage of 15 clones right when I need one. But I will try and be patient, even though I'm no good at it ;)
