Hey Mirriam - I see you sold that machine!

As it's now located in Hennepin Co Minnesota LOL!!

Is this gonna be like that yard gnome somebody stole and then took around the world?

J Miller 11-09-2013 07:38 AM

Eeee gads, talk about plagiarism. It's funny in one way and pathetic in another.

Joe

Cecilia S. 11-09-2013 10:19 AM

Omigosh.

That is HILARIOUS. I mean, actually Miriam, did you post it yourself as being out of Hennepin? Or did someone actually steal the virtual yardsale? If the latter, I think it is hilarious!

I hope to see dozens, hundreds of ads for it now. Maybe one in every Springfield in the USA? Mike and Amelia, can the yard sale make it to Australia?

Go forth, QBers, and multiply this stolen yard sale!

If Miriam got her $500, the buyer lost his freight cost. He's asking only for purchase price back. Or, did he pick it up in Indianapolis? Sew funny.

Cecilia S. 11-09-2013 10:28 AM

Ron, nice to see you got sensible again with the avatar. ;-)

Vridar 11-09-2013 10:48 AM

Yes, I just got this machine today. Came from Minneapolis area and I got a great deal on it since it was damaged in shipment.:p Only $500.

amcatanzaro 11-09-2013 01:19 PM

:D Enablers. Now we will all want one.

Cecilia S. 11-09-2013 01:32 PM

Miriam made a Crush and Sow, and the sowing worked! They are sprouting up everywhere! Anyone want to join the Avatar Parade, as led by Ron/Vridar?

My good laugh for the day. Heeheehee

miriam 11-10-2013 11:04 AM

I've been gone - went to Nashville... You have been playing behind my back... BA HA HA HA. THIS IS WAY TOO FUNNY - I laughed so hard the tears ran down my legs - by all means feel free to post it all over the place!!! I keep bumping it up in Indy and people keep sending me spam. Crush and Sow! Now I'll have to change the ad so keep on your toes... Yup it could get packed in a simple USPS box and sent for not too much since it is light weight and has parts missing... This has been so much fun. Someone sent an email and said it was just like the one they learned to sew on. Oh and I picked up another Touch and Sew at GW in Nashville. This one works I think so maybe no party with that one.

miriam 11-10-2013 11:28 AM

I changed the ad - have at it!

Avatar Parade

How come nobody's joining the Crush and Sow Avatar Parade?

Initiated by Ron/Vridar, coined/enabled by Cecilia... C'mon guys! Make that Crush& Sow your avatar for the week! It's National Crush & Sow Avatar Week! Someone want to start a thread? ;-)

Have you a video of the T&S "repair?" It might go viral on YouTube.

Oh my goodness this is just too funny! You all are a hoot, lol!!!! Love, love, love this group! :)

redmadder 11-13-2013 03:49 AM

How did I miss this? Ya'll are a hoot! Well, I am too, just very busy.

Dang, I should have taken pictures when I took a hammer to a plastic machine from, well somewhere. It was a yard sale find with no cord, back then no internet. It was an educational exercise to see how they were made. I even left it in the yard to rust. Maybe the squirrels drug it off.

cabbagepatchkid 11-14-2013 04:52 AM

I always enjoy reading through the CL section called "The Best of Craigslist". Miriam, I just flagged (nominated?) your listing for the "Best of CL". Lol

Kate it was a blast having you at the shop. I'll save up another old crappy machine for the next time you come. The good ones aren't near as much fun.
