How do you define "working condition"? Houston Area CL
 

Here's a machine that may be (maybe!) worth rescuing if you're in the Houston area, but if my eyes don't deceive me, there is a black hole where the bobbin assembly is supposed to be, not to mention the slide plate, which apparently people often just threw away when they couldn't figure out how to put it back on. I'm not interested - no more room, and I don't want a project machine, but I thought I'd point it out because I assume that by "working condition" this person means that the motor runs and the needle goes up and down. Well, maybe that's what's meant. Caveat emptor!

I assume it's a 201, and I wasn't aware they came in anything but black. I learn something new every day.

No, it's a 15-125 and a rarer model. I'd buy that in a heartbeat, missing the plate or not! You can't see the bobbin assembly because it's not a drop in bobbin. It could very well be in working condition.

Is that a Centennial badge?

The term "working condition" doesn't really mean much. I've seen cases where "working condition" meant the light works. I bought a machine at a local thrift store and they told me it worked.......it didn't. (I finally got it going, but it took awhile) Same store I was told a machine didn't work..........and it did. So now when I go into that store and they tell me that it works, doesn't work, or they haven't tested it yet........I take it all with a grain of salt. They don't ever charge me much anyway, so it really doesn't matter. If it's an older machine, I'm interested.

Next time I'll know! I'd never heard of this version of the 15. I just checked and the seller said it sold "minutes ago"! I guess I feel a little relieved that I wasn't able to get it - really, no more room! I hope someone on this list got it.

for me, working condition mean nothing is missing or broken. Everything else can be resolved. Missing non-required parts to me is "mostly working" or "Operational"

To answer my question about the Centennial badge -- I don't think so. Yesterday at a garage sale I saw a beautiful class 15 machine, and it had a dark (maybe navy blue or black) narrow border on the badge. That is probably what this picture is also.
