I've never seen one of these, but I'm assuming it is for making those neat tucked tufts in furniture upholstery? Anyone have a clue how this works? I could actually put it to good use if I could figure out how it works!

That's pretty! I'm no help either. I would just hang it on a wall & look at it. I'll be watching for 'real' answers too.

It's for hooking wool rugs on a burlap or canvas background. Used one with my Mom Many years ago, but don't remember how it works now.

My mom had one too and I think we would slide one side up and the other side down, then do the reverse with the other side with the wool yarn attached and it would secure the yarn somehow in the heavy backing, then you move on to the next stitch if I remember correctly. Brings back good memories
