I was looking some Elna Grasshoppers but was not to certain. Then i tried out a Singer Slant-o-matic 500 model. It sews really nice. I also picked up a Brother Festival 451. It reminds me of the plastic flamingos. It is all metal, sews great straight and zigzag stitches. It will go to my daughter in law who wants to learn to sew.

That 500 is on my list as a have to have...and the pink one is the bomb!
I recently saw a slant- o- matic with a nice cabinet for $5! But, what to do with it is my problem, so I left it for someone else.
I'm so jealous of your Rocketeer. That's on my "to get" list. That pink Brother is so cool looking.
