Identify "Modern" Singer

1 Attachment(s)
I've been so caught up identifying my vintage sewing machines that I almost forgot my "first love". I bought a brand new Singer in about 1966 with the first money I ever earned. I went down to the basement this morning and found her and heaved her up the stairs. That thing weighs more than all of the old machines I have. The manual that came with it is long gone. The serial number is TB136263. I found one website that indicated the TB machines were made in Utsunomiya, Japan. I can't find anything on what model it might be. It is a very simple machine - just forward and backward and a blind stitch. I do have a button hole attachment for it. I couldn't find anything on the Singer website and gave up after a very long time on hold on the phone.

I just found the answer to my question. It's a Singer 223.

She's really pretty. Glad you kept her.

I think someone else on this board has one that's a treadle.
