I'm consiering selling my Singer 129 (don't shoot me please!)

I found a 128 at a local consignment store and then bid on one on ebay and won it. Received both and each needed a little work. Took both to my SMG (30 years in working on vintage machines) He restored one with parts from one and then purchased the leftover parts machine from me to help offset the repair costs. It is so pretty and shiny but I have not even sewn on it at all. I think the bullet bobbin and shuttle intimidate me. LOL It does have the domed case. All this to say that I am considering selling it to someone who would use it more often than I would.

I'm in Mississippi so know the market here will dictate the price if I list it on Craig's List. On eBay who knows? LOL Does anyone have a ballpark figure that I should ask for it??

TIA
Carolyn

I hope you didn't pay him a lot to fix it up. You won't get too much over a "base" price, even though you paid to have it all fixed up. Good luck!! I have no suggestions for a price.

Boy, I didn't realize I had put "129" instead of "128"...I have a headache today that makes my eyes blurry!! No, I didn't have to pay much...

Value as always is based on what someone would pay and your location. For me, I wouldn't pay more than $50 on a good day for the machine in excellent condition. I hope you didn't sink an arm and a leg into it. I have a 128 and I know my mother paid more for it than that(it was a gift to me).

Just think about what you would have been willing to pay for a machine in your area...
