Info / Input on Singer 201k Treadle

Sorry I picture but there is a 201k treadle up for sale in my area, I've been thinking about getting a treadle. Does anyone sew on theirs enough to give some input on how well it works. As well, what would be agood price for a machine that needs a little love.

The 201 is one of Singer's finest ss machines, though I've only used the electric version with potted motor. What your willing to pay and feel good about is pretty much the value of the 201 or most older sewing machines. Beware if the seller does not have an asking price and I usually don't bother unless the asking price is somewhat near my "feel good" price. Clear as mud?

Hello NL,

The 201 is an excellent model. If it's in decent condition at a reasonable price, get it.
