Kenmore 158.904 ?
I have a chance to buy this but was curious if it is really anything I want. It has no manual, no cams it only comes with bobbins and is in a nice cabinet. I couldn't find any info on this one. Can anybody help me out on this one. I know some of you say Kenmore are always good depending on which one they are. If the cams can be bought and the manual. They want 50.00 for it.

Not sure where to find the manual but might on the same link if the the machine # has an extra # for it. Yet I'm sure you would be able to find a free manual for it. Here is the link to Sears showing diagram to see associated parts : http://www.searspartsdirect.com/part...&shdMod=158904

I just remembered when I was searching for information on Kenmores sewing machines I came across this site, maybe it will help you find some information on the machine?

Your best source of cams is either eBay or GW on line auctions. I see them on GW all the time. Kenmore used several styles of cams though.

I see them on CL with cams for that price around here some times.

I have some cams and some other parts for older machines and I plan to sell cheap. Problem is I am leaving for Ontario in hours from Fl. Our Kenmore is in Ontario so I need to check the parts there first, Will be few months before I can get these things sorted. Many are in originsl boxes.
Have a collection of buttonhole makers I am saving especially for Joe that I thought I could have sent by now. Unforturnately my knee slowed me from working. Wanted to send from Fl as it's cheaper than up north. Sorry !!! Problem for me too as I have vintage in ON and Fl. |
I found the cams on ebay for the Kenmore I bought at a flea market. There were tons on there--this was a year ago. Also found the manual from a separate person
