Pretty machine in a very neat cabinet that I am green with envy for.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We looked at the bottom of the machine yesterday and found the following numbers and letters. 501
J CIP J has a slash across the letter.
on the right end of the machine 606
On label on motor---Quality sewing machine.
115 volts 105 watts
195233-G-RP
We have tried threading the machine, but it will only stitch once and doesn't bring up the bobbin thread. Is a fun mystery to work with.

If you put the needle in wrong or thread it wrong it will do that - ask me how I know... The needle should go flat side toward the machine. It should thread left to right. Make sure the bobbin is in right.
