My Discovery Yesterday

I was out yesterday shopping for a woodchipper and to get some bar oil and 2-cycle oil for the chainsaw. I went to my favorite hardware store for the chainsaw oils. While I was there I was approached by a clerk and he asked me what I needed. I told him and then on a whim I asked him if they had Triflow oil. He said oh yes. It comes in a small bottle and in spray cans. Hooray, now I don't have to order it online and I think using the spray can oil will make the cleaning and restoring process on my old girls so much easier.

By the way, for those of you who live in my area of Western Washington, I can recommend McLendon's Harware very highly. There is always someone available to help you and take your purchases out to your vehicle. I just hate the big box stores, too big, and you can hardly ever find someone knowledgeable when you have questions or need help.

Triflow is the sewing machine oil that I have been purchasing online from Sewclassic.com. Good stuff. I was really excited to find it in a spray can. I tried it and it really does a good job of getting into the innards of machine for oiling and cleaning.

I looked up Triflow..it is a Lubricant sold mainly in the Auto stores! Check out amazon...way cheaper than the sewing place!

I highly doubt if spraying anything inside a sewing machine is a very good idea. Just shake the bottle and drop some on the moving joints - it will work just fine. Amazon is a good price - thanks. I didn't check shipping but I get that free from Sew-classic if I order enough stuff anyway. The bike shop wants more than double what she charges.

The TriFlo lube is what I use for lubricating my FW. Learned that from my Dave McCallum DVD. Just bought a supply online-but will remember Amazon next time.

Hi, I live in Olympia now, we don't have a McLendons here. But it use to be one of my favorite stores. I remember when I took my dad there probably in 1990something. He was rewiring at my house and he just stood there in ah! of everything, they don't have them in So. Calif. It soon became his fav. every time he visited. LOL

Hi Caroline S
I was raised in Sumner, Wa and we went to McLendon's all the time, loved it because you could always get what you needed & someone was all ways there to help you. We have nothing like that or even close here in Florida. Have a great day.
