My new antique

My son saw this at a yard sale and thought of me. Supposedly it works. The cord is unsafe so DH is suppose to replace it. One of the little drawers is full of feet and bobbins, old thread. I would love to see if it works. It does look like it has had a hard life. I thought it was sweet of my son and I love it!

looks like a 201 perhaps? What a nice son you have! I just got one of these and as soon as I uncover one of my cabinets to put it into, I cant wait to try it out!

love2sew8085,

Nice gift. The cords are easy, and I'll bet that 66 sews up a storm. I have one similar in a cabinet that has had a very long and hard life and yet still sews better than the new plastic wannabees.

What a nice son you have! The machine will probably clean up good, and sew fantastic!

On second look I really like that cabinet. With both leafs out it has a lot of work room.

SWEET! You sure did raise him right! Hey, can I be your sister? Then I'll be his auntie.

Seriously though, that 66 probably still has a lot of life to give. Smart move to have it rewired. Have you determined the age yet? And that cabinet is an upgraded model, if I recall correctly. Look at all the room it provides! Until yesterday I was looking for a cabinet too for a newly acquired 201, but my SMG came through for me with one which is similar, but not as nice as yours.

Are you sure you don't need another sister?

Lucky you!! It looks beautiful.

What a lucky mom to have such a great son! Like Joe, I love the cabinet. Wonder why more cabinets don't have an extension (even a small one) on the right side. When you're right handed, you automatically lay things there and my stuff gets piled up! LOL

hey Joe!

You are so smart, I love your posts ~ Can I ask a question? (going to . . . lol)

What Singer is it if it looks like this, but is not electrified? The cabinet has the big metal "singer" underneath it . . .

What is the difference in a 66 and a 15-91? Just model years? they look so similiar ~ <clearly, I am UNeducated!>
