Check out this site. They have a diagram that you can identify what machine you have. She's purdy. I have a 27-4 that looks like that but the bobbin winder is lower and mine's a treadle. |
Beautiful machine.

I love that machine. But I have a question. I have 2 old Singer Treadle machines, one needs a belt and the other a power cord. My question is this: Do you actually use these machines for quilting or are yours for oranamental purposes only? I'm just wondering if it would be worthwhile to order the belt ($35.00) and have hubby fix the other's power cord?

I must have been half asleep when I posted that one of my treadles need a power cord...I was thinking it would be a good idea to have power on them...but, both mine need the belts. The coffin top one is in emaculate condition, and the second one needs to have a thorough cleaning. So, most of you piece with your treadles, and do you quilt with them as well?

Rare machine here folks!! This is a refinished machine by either a factory authorized dealer or a shop did this. Notice the badge is missing and the decals are nothing like what was offered from the factory. Buy the Singer dealers would refinish machines with supplied decals from the company. I need to see a photo of the handwheel from a 3/4 view so I can see the length of the shaft. I am thinking they took the extension off so they could use a shorter 66 style of hand wheel.
