Mysterious bobbin marked CWC
1 Attachment(s)
I picked up and old turquoise SM Accessories box at GW yesterday and found inside a few items. Some old needles, one marked HA, a Greist narrow hemmer foot, and three bobbins. The bobbins resemble Bernina bobbins as they are perforated top and bottom, but on the inside is stamped CWC and a circular design of some sort. Both sides have a slot for winding too.
So, my question is: what machine do these guys fit? Does any of this sound familiar to anyone out there? |
Not sure if the measurements are the same but it looks like the bobbins that go in my vintage Atlas and Brothers machines.

Looks like the bobbins for my Kenmore. CWC might just be the brand name....looked in my bobbin box. BINGO. I found one with CWC stamped on it. Another stamped Japan, but they both fit my "modern" Kenmore machine.

Manufacturers mark. It's a standard Class 15 bobbin. I have some marked CWC, some with a crown and "MADE IN JAPAN". Some that say "TAIWAN", and they are all the same. The best of the bunch are the Made in Japan ones with the crown on them.

Aha. There's also one marked Germany.
So, these guys might fit my 15-91, huh? I just may have to try one although they look very different than the ones I have for it. I'll have to compare them before I pop one in. Thanks everyone!

I think it's a regular class 15 bobbin. I've got some CWCs and they fit my old Kenmore and my old Morse.
