Need help finding a thread about cleaning gunk off of machines.

Some months ago a thread was started about cleaning the carbonized gunk off the outsides of a sewing machines.
I do not know who started it, or weather it was in this forum or the Machine Shop forum.

Does anyone know what thread that might have been? Maybe have a link to it?

I am horrible at searches so telling me to use the search would be a waste of time.

TIA

Joe

makitmama,

Thanks for the link but this isn't the thread I was thinking of. The one I was thinking of was started by someone else. It was more concerned with the carbonized melted wiring like what I've got stuck on my 15-91. There were a bunch of good suggestions in that thread and yours truly forgot to bookmark it.

I wish I knew where it went, too - I'm thinking it was on the vintage shop and would be hard to find there...
