Need Help With A Necchi Supernova Automatica
 

Has anyone changed a belt on these before? Flywheel turns fine, got the stop motion knob off with a little effort but now the flywheel will not slide off so I can change the belt. I have even oiled it like I have had to do with others but it wont budge! Is there something I am missing? I have the original manual but it doesn't have any help for a stuck flywheel.

I sure don't want to mess it up.

Do you have to get the fly wheel off, or could you take the belt off the little drive wheel at the bottom, and then just pull it off around the fly wheel? This would only work if the body plates are far enough away to get the belt off, and if you can see in to put on the new one...

Ask Frudemoo (Amelia). She pretty much re-built hers from the ground up a few months ago.

I gently tapped mine off using a wooden stick, that I made by cutting down a wooden spoon, and a small hammer. I repeatedly tapped a little bit, rotating the hand wheel after every tap, and it eventually came off.

Prior to that, I applied heat, and tried soaking the area with PB Blaster, which made no discernible difference.
