Need Help with a Vintage Canadian Sewing Machine
Hello Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone know's anything about Comrie Sewing Machine CC. I got this machine today for a steal of a price at 10$ and it seems to be in mint condition. Definitely needs a check up and a tuning but everything glides well when hand cranked. Not going to plug in until its looked at. From what little I can figure out this machine was made in Edmonton Alberta, and its a Comrie Model S115908 The motor is a 110V Good Housekeeper Eureka Model E20. It has an attached "over head" light as well which connects with the motor/footpedal cord. The foot pedal is made in Toronto. Photos are attached and any information you might know about it would be greatly appreciated as I have not been able to find anything except it looks similar to a 1950's dress maker special. Thanks! Here is the main pictures below is the link to the flicker group with all the pictures. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7053/6...dbf179c7b3.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7069/6...987c4a45d5.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7050/6...56edae520f.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7210/6...2aabe59bb7.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7052/6...15dc8627a5.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7207/6...64167d621b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7193/6...817f471061.jpg http://www.flickr.com/photos/7484843...7629433955935/ |
Hmmm. With the decals missing, it's not mint condition. But, a good find nevertheless.
