I have a 1930s Kenmore that takes the same bobbins yours does. This bobbin is similar but smaller. I've compared them physically and I don't think it would work. I haven't tried it yet. Joe |

This is the bobbin and bobbin case from my 1923 White Rotary sewing machine, serial number FR2971137. The diameter of the bobbin is one inch and depth is 1/4 inch. As you can see, that bobbin still had thread on it, a LOT, and lots of colors.

Attached are the three different bobbins that came with my 1915, Singer Redeye treadle. The first one on the left definately matches Joe's number A (note that the bobbin is not absolutely flat on top) and likely is original to the machine. That is where the nest of vintage thread came from.
The middle one matches Joe's number D. The third one looks like a generic class 15 bobbin. |

Your White Rotary bobbin is the exact same bobbin my Kenmore takes. The 1/8" difference in diameter doesn't seem like much on paper, but in use I don't know. I suppose I could thread up the unID'd bobbin and try it in my Kenmore. Well I could if I didn't have a dozen projects cluttering up my work area. You are correct the two curved rim bobbins are for the 66 and the other one is a Class 15. My wife has a bunch of those Class 15 bobbins with the 7 larger holes in them. They are for her Bernina 930. Hers are knurled around the axle. Take a look under that green thread and see what's there. You might have a fancy smancy bobbin. LOL Sigh, I really should go downstairs and work on the projects. I just might get something done ...... maybe. Joe |

Here is a comparison pic of the unidentified bobbin and the White / Kenmore type like you have: http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o...on-Kenmore.jpg You can see just how much smaller the unidentified one is. I actually tried it in the Kenmore's bobbin case and it almost jammed in it. The ID of the axle is just enough smaller than the Kenmore bobbins that it is too tight. pippi65, Why not post them?
