Getting a vintage HC is going to be hard to do. You can start watching e-bay, but if you see one they are usually pretty pricey! You can watch for any parts/donor machine that has a HC still attached. I'd get the Chinese one and just paint black over the Chinese characters! I have the Chinese one on my Singer 15-88 treadle. The HC looks great and works great.

I haven't had any trouble with the Chinese HCs I bought.

That's what I did. Still looking for an original, but for now my baby looks great and runs. Still would love an original...

Here's mine with the hand crank. It still need the gold painted over and I need to rescue the black side cover from the parts and reunite it with the machine.

I would convert it to a hand crank. Gorgeous machine! I am pretty sure the hand crank from the 66 will fit. We have moved them around from a 128 to 15 and 201.Oooohh you did it. She looks gorgous. How does she sew? Enjoy!
