New to collecting ??s

I have several old machines, I had found the serial numbers and were able to date them, but how do I know which model they are, if it is not on machine. For instance, I have a Singer treadle with serial #F8014464, which I have dated as 1917 but would there be a "model" for it? Also, have a Singer with serial number G0891901 but again I do not see a "model" name on it. This may be a dumb question but I am trying to learn. Thanks for any input.

I looked up on Singer Identification and found F8014464, Model 66K, 75,000 made in 1917 in Clydebank, Scotland.

G0891901, Model 128, 25,000 made in 1924. Hope this helps.

Yes, it does help! So I can find this info on Singer website? Thank you for your help, really appreciate it.

This should help. Also look at other sections of the site for more reference information.

Thank you so much for your help, just what I needed. I was able to locate the year they were manufactured but not model, now I can look a little deeper into the models I have. Some are in nice conditions, others not so much. I love the history and wish they could tell me their story, my husband loves anything mechanical and insists that I get them when affordable, so how can I refuse :) maybe will try to post some pics, thanks again!
