Here's another, "Oh my!" (said with sinking heart!)

You're a far better person than I! I would have been a screaming, raving lunatic! I'd probably stress and stew about it for a very long time. Holy cow! is about the most polite thing I can say in mixed company.

A well deserved one at that. So sorry for your poor baby (the FW not your GD).

Oh my! Sending big hugs~~ Perhaps share with them what they did. Maybe it will "help" to keep them from doing something like that again. Just a thought~

HA! this GD does not deserve a FW after that!!! Send it to one of US! hehe

Reminds me of when DIL, newly married, had a yard sale and she asked me to add to it, so, donated an antique bowl, she sold it for 50 cents. Many years later , we laugh about it a lot. It is just stuff. People are so much more valuable than material things.

i would not be laughing at selling an antique bowl for 50 cents... so sorry for the hinges on the fw....:(

OUCH!! That hurt!

Oh dear, how did you not choke them ?? Seriously though, I am sure they meant well but oh my gosh, some things are better left alone.

That's sad. Is there any way to salvage the case? and explain to them about the mistake?
