I just became the owner of a Singer Featherweight model #322. It cost me very little, but It doesn't have a power cord or a foot pedal, I don't know what else it may need. It looks to be in good condition, but again, I don't really know. Please, I need help. I live in Chester County, Pa, near West Chester, Coatesville, area. I guess I need to find a Singer Service place, does anyone have any idea how I get started?

As for parts and sometimes servicing for these older machines, EBay has an excellent selection and some are sellers that specialize in servicing these types of machines (perhaps one of them is in your area). You may do a little surfing/digging to see if you can find one of them who can advise you as to a good starting point etc.

Explosive blessings, abundance and inspiration to you all!

Is your FW actually a 222? (not a 322). I Googled sites for supplies for mine, when I needede a new footpedal, but Billy here on this site has them for sale now, (I think)

Thanks to you and sharon B I sent a PM to Billy, hope I get an answer soon. It is a #322 Singer.

Thanks for your input, I'll let you all know how I do on this. I am so excited, I have wanted a FW for a long time and now maybe I'll have one. WOW!

Congratulations on your 'new' sewing machine!! Is this the machine that you have? http://sewcraftful.com/how-to/what-i...ght-model-322/

This Featherweight is not the same as the Singer 221 or 222 Featherweight so I'm not sure if the parts would be interchangable. Maybe someone else would know.

Cathy, that is my new Singer #322. I can't wait to get it up and running.

This isn't the kind of Featherweight everyone's trying to own. This still looks like a nice machine, ENJOY!!!

It's still going to be a great addition to my sewing room. I don't go to classes due to hearing problem, so there is no need for a lighter machine. Thanks for letting me know the difference.

Happy stitches to you all.

Have you gotten it running, yet? I just noticed that your full name is Kathleen! That's my name too
 . I was named after the Irish song "Take Me Home Again Kathleen". I'm so-o-o happy that my mother decided on that name because I was almost named Mecushalah (sp?) because she saw it in a story that she was reading when she was pregnant with me
