A lady had a machine that kept snapping off her thread and offered to give it away. I picked it up, cleaned, and oiled it, and it just purrs. Found the manual online....looks like I am missing the arm attachment and the case. But can't complain. Maybe 1976? Made in West Germany. Pfaff 295-1

I forgot to mention it was slated for the dump.

It looks brand new. Good for you!

Does it still snap off thread?
Those are a good sturdy machine.
Have some fun with it!

Nope. The tension was set to 9! Works like a charm.

It is funny what makes people get rid of a machine. I got a couple that were all choked up with lint - cleaned out the lint and they work great.

Good save!! The lady that runs our sewing circle swears by Pfaff. I showed her one in the local buy and sell, and asked if it was any good. Her response was "What's your resale price"? LOL! I haven't heard of any Pfaff branded duds to date. There'd have to be one or two, but no one I know is talking.

Oh I am sooooooooo envious!!! That is a nice looking machine. Enjoy it...it will last forever.

Wow, I'd have taken that machine in a heart beat! Congratulations on your new Pfaff!

I love to hear "saved "from the dump" stories! Enjoy the machine!
