Pfaff 7570

I know it is not real vintage, but I am looking for someone to help me with a service manual for a Pfaff 7570. I just need a small instruction on how to reset the machine to factory default. Batteries were changed with the machine 'off' , instead of 'on'.

I have a 7550 maybe I can help

I just looked in my manual and the only thing I have found so far is that saved programs will be lost if the battery is changed with the machine off but I don't see anything about restoring factory settings. Sorry, but if there is something I can look up for you just let me know.

I was a Pfaff dealer until two months ago and now can't access the on-line service manuals. It is not the regular manual, but the service manual that would have this information.

That makes sense. Hope someone can get the info. for you.

ewecansew, There appears to be a website where you can ask a question of a Pfaff serviceman. If you have not gotten an answer to your question yet, perhaps you could try that.

YIkes! I hope that link works.

edit: Looks like the link did work but when I pasted it in it was a long lot of numbers and letters. Hope you can solve your problem with this link.

The link works, but they want $30 to answer the question. I was hoping for a lot less than that.

Geez, really? I did not realize that they were going to charge at all let alone that much! Yes, there has to be a better way to get an answer to your question. I have a Pfaff 7550 and have looked through both books that I have but did not find anything yet. I will check them again later today to see if I missed anything.

The info would not be in the regular manual because they don't want everyone to have that information. Unless you are a dealer/technician for any of the sewing machine companies, they will not give you any of that information, or sell you parts.

There is a "Vintage Sewing Machine Repair" group on Yahoo - you have to join but it is free, that has thousands of members - - - anyway, undoubtedly someone on there could help you. Join and then post your question - I get digest so it was the next day before I got a response. :-) I joined before the "neo" stuff so you may have a couple more hoops but here: http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/V...ineRepair/info
