Went to Hillsville Flea Market-Labor day event on Friday---HOT!!! but we survived..
Found a 3/4 size SINGER---shuttle--does not look to have been used much--cords are like new--but everything on it is original--It runs good--Need to go thru it and clean and oil and grease it up now...

Anyone know anything about it-- model 128 i think--shuttle- EF179631 1949?

Hope pic comes thru--it has not been cleaned yet...

Tough little machine - these are the ones being hand cranked and sent to our soldiers to repair their gear in the field. I bet yours is newer than mine. Is the serial number E something? Mine is AK so it's a 1952. Mine is Godzilla finish with blackside fittings. The story is the chrome was needed for the Korean conflict - who knows?

Beautiful, looks like it won't take much to clean it up. Lucky you.

128

I have a machine just like this one, I bought at a flea market for $35. I just used it to sew thick webbing handles on an intertube cover for my granddaughter. It went through 4 layers of webbing as if it were cotton, it never did hesitate, just kept on sewing. I would like to see the new sewing machines of today do that. You have a great sewing machine. I am glad that you found it.

I recently bought a 128 and am in the process of cleaning/oiling. When I get time to get it back together, I will post photos. I love these old Singers. Mine is a 1925 and doesn't have any attachments with it.
