refurbish a f/w

Does anyone know how much it would cost to do a refurbish/paint job on a featherweight or who does this? Thanks.

Keeler charges $769 with your machine

There are several on ebay. Here's one for $575 and your machine: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Sing...-/390417215825

I'd research them really well and maybe ask for references? Wouldn't hurt to ask. I've heard complaints through the years of some repaints flaking but I've never heard mentioned who did the job.

Bonnie Hunter recently had one done. Check her blog- Quiltville.com.

Bonnie Hunter uses a man out of Arkansas and he charges $300 and you supply the machine. My sister is thinking about having one done there.

Wow, that's a lot. May check out Bonnie Hunter site. Thanks for info. Don't even have the machine; my daughter does, But I do have a mint green one that I really love. Really would like to have a red one.

I've met the Arkansas man, his name is Gerald Holmes, he does a very good job on the FWs.
