In the shed

whilst looking for something else today I found two machine cases on opening

case 1.
contained a Beige Singer 201P runs & sounds great everything there almost, missing the spool holders on top no problem, not sure I think my husband may have bought it but he cannot remember I know I didn't maybe it was his Mums.

case 2. Black 99k looked today at the Singer site, it was made in 1954 in Clydebank. Scotland. I forgot I purchased this beauty in the Life Line Store about 6 years ago the receipt says I paid A$40.00. I have named her Ellie she will be used now she is inside were she belongs.

This is all because of this section of the Message Board. I love looking at everyone elses finds and now I have 2 myself and
didn't know until today.

Ooooh, the best part is you already had them. Now we need to see pictures of your poor girls that you rescued from the shed.

How cool is that? You didn't even have to hunt for some vintage treasure! Both are great machines. Have fun!

Don't you just love it when you find something great that you have forgot all about in your own home? Have fun playing with your new toys.

if i remember correctly visiting a singer sewing center in 1956 the beige is the same as the darker color of my two-tone 301A...............been a couple of years but when i close my eyes i can still see that room full of machines.
