singer sewing machine

Can anyone post comments as to the value of this 1953 Singer sewing machine. All it does is sew back and frontwards. It seems like a jewel and is in excellent condition.

This isn't an appraisal site but you could check ebay for closed listings to get a general idea about what some people will pay.

A LOT of forums don't allow you to discuss prices - I think it is a great idea. This is not about prices.

when it comes to vintage singers location kind of matters along with condition- they go from anywhere from $20 on up to what ever you can get for it I guess. they are fairly 'common' machines . I paid $20 for mine in really mint condition- decals perfect, was taken care of, treated very well, never stored away In a barn- sews beautifully. I know sometimes people are willing to pay a lot more for one. check ebay & craigs list to get an idea what they are being listed for- but remember just because they are asking that much does not mean they will get that much. you could check with a local sewing machine dealer or your local guild for ideas too. it's all relative- and there are lots of factors===is it clean? wiring in good condition? belts in good condition? have the attachments, box & book/manual?

I saw you changed your avatar. Didn't like your bouncing elephant? I thought it was cute.

Bouncing/jiggling/moving things in the posts have been "banned" since the new format - some members have difficulty with them - they give them headaches - literally,

I had a really cute moving cat in my signature line - and it was stilled/eliminated.
